Another Great Shaver!
I have been using Braun electric razors for almost 10 years now. This is my second electric. Why my second??? Because Braun shavers last forever, or at least as long as they make replacement heads. The 790c Pulsonic is very quiet and a remarkable shaver. The few things folks must remember with electric shavers are, #1) You have to get your face use to this type of shave (should take 1-2 week), and #2) These are not straight razors and you have to go back and forth over your face a few times to get a close shave. The clean & renew system works best if done daily. But there are times I do it every other day. I also suggest you replace your cutter/foil block once a year regardless if you think it needs it or not. If you remember these few things your Braun will perform flawlessly. Yes the start up cost is steep but over a period of several years you have saved back your money from disposables and your face will thank you. No more razor burn and especially if you have sensitive skin.
Closest Shave I have ever had
I have owned several other brands, including an earlier version of Braun. But the Series 7 gave me the closest shave, with the least effort. Other shavers advertise they are as "close as a blade", but the Braun Series 7 actually does!! No pulling, gets into the tight spots.....I am extremely impressed and very happy.
$250 and it broke in less then a year
The Series 7 gives you a great shave. The shave is what you would expect for the price. The cleaning stand worked well for about 8 months. Now I spend 2 minutes trying to get the shaver in just right so it charges. There is no way I can use the cleaning part of the stand. As soon as the shaver jiggles in the stand it loses connection and shuts off. Bottom Line: For the price the Series 7 shouldn't have the problems it has.
